Planet Fun and Starz Grille – 349 Whiteville Rd NW, Shallotte, NC

The Myrtle Beach Corvette Club has once again been invited by the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association NC 15-13 Silver Coast Chapter to join in the fun and help raise money for charity on this “Poker Run Style” benefit cruise. About 8-10 members participated last year in their poker run, and we had a blast visiting various cigar lounges and craft breweries in Brunswick and New Hanover Counties. This year promises to be bigger and better than ever before. There will be fun and games at each stop along the way, and by playing the games, you can increase your chances of winning some of the amazing prizes to be raffled off at the end of the ride. Some of the prizes to be raffled are various gift cards, 2 night stay in a cabin or RV at The Pines RV Park and grand prize of a Weekend Getaway in a beautiful condo in Carolina Beach. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, and there will also be a band playing at Planet Fun throughout the day, long with food and other vendors as well. CMVA will set aside a small section of the parking lot for our club members to park our Corvettes and show off our cars before the ride, if we choose to do so. This is a leisurely cruise from location to location, and not a race. Take in the scenery, enjoy what the beautiful Silver Coast of NC has to offer. Total mileage from start to finish should be about 65-70 miles, plus your drive to and from home.
Welcome aboard mates! Join us on a fun-filled adventure with beautiful views of our glorious Silver Coast of the Atlantic. You’ll find amusement at every stop with the “13 Girls” showing you how to have fun! Dress like a pirate to increase your odds of winning some amazing prizes!!
Stating and Ending location will be Planet Fun & Starz Grille in Shallotte with four other stops along the way. They are Mermaids Island Grille in Holden Beach, Inlet View Restaurant in Shallotte, Sharky’s Waterfront in Ocean Isle Beach and VFW – Post 7288 in Calabash. Food and Drink will be available for purchase at all stops, and the VFW will also have Ice Cream available.
HERE’S HOW TO PLAY AND EARN MORE CHANCES TO WIN
Participants will advance to each stop and collect a stamp on their passport. At each stop they will have an opportunity to play a game to earn an additional stamp. If they win the game, or achieve the intended goal of the game, they will earn another stamp. And one additional stamp can be earned for dressing in the spirit of a pirate. Once they complete the final stop and game (at Planet Fun), they will turn in their treasure maps to have their scores tallied and receive 1 raffle ticket for each stamp on their passport. Raffle tickets will all be combined for an opportunity of 4 different prizes.
COST to play is $25 for driver and $10 for passenger, and each paid participant will get a passport and has an equal chance at all the games and prizes. You may also purchase additional passports for $10 each to increase your chances even more. As always, we are encouraging everyone to bring your spouse or significant other to enjoy this ride. The more, the merrier!!
