Savannah Overnight Trip

I have some great news! I have secured a booking agreement for 20 suites with Staybridge Suites in historic downtown Savannah. Some details:
Dates – October 26-29, 2026
Cost – $189 plus state & local taxes payable by individual credit card
Type of suite – King or Double Bed
Parking – Available garage parking at a discounted price of $27 per day per vehicle (no dedicated parking).
Amenities – Free breakfast, free social hour (5:30 to 7:00PM) includes heavy appetizers, beer and wine.
Length of stay – up to 3 nights by individual choice.

The hotel will need your individual credit card to hold your reservation, and you will not be charged until your stay. I would suggest making your reservation as soon as possible if you are planning to participate. This is on a first come first served basis. If we do take all 20 rooms, I may be able to get additional rooms. The earlier I request additional rooms, the better chance I will have in securing them. Most importantly is to make your reservation early enough, so you do not lose your opportunity to book the reservation.

The daily itinerary will evolve in the coming months. I need to know the level of participation and feedback from those participating. Some of the activities I am thinking of:

Free time to explore various plazas, riverfront walk, shopping and dining.
The location of the hotel makes it ideal to get around, so no need to take your Vette or other vehicle out, unless you want to.
Deb and I have visited Savannah multiple times, usually staying in Hilton Head Island and spending a day in beautiful Savannah. We truly love Savannah and enjoy it each and every time we visit there.
Finally an FYI, the Concours d’Elegance Car Show will be in nearby Hilton Head Island October 31 to November 1. I went to this extremely unique car show in 2019 with a group that Jim Spore coordinated. It is a fantastic collection of rare and unique automobiles. Tickets are on the expensive side (2-day early bird ticket is currently $148.00). I just want to pass on this information, should anyone be interested.-https://www.hhiconcours.com. I am not planning to do the Concours d’ Elegance as a club event, but you may want to consider doing it on your own as an extension of the Savannah Road Trip.
